Changes grants

Deadline: 2012-05-31

See  http://communities4families.ca/files/events/Grants%20application%202012.pdf for Grant application.

In 2009 Communities 4 Families completed a report entitled “Family Challenges: Understanding the challenges of families in downtown Winnipeg” (http://www.communities4families.ca/facilitators/view/Research). Produced to examine the barriers and challenges facing families living in Winnipeg’s downtown residential communities, the report also highlights what is currently being done to affect change in immigration/integration; housing; child care; recreation; education; food security/nutrition; and safety.

The Communities 4 Change grant will fund initiatives (to a maximum of $5000) that are innovative ideas and solutions to the challenges facing parents and families in the Downtown. You may be looking to fund a project that will raise awareness around an issue or a workshop that empowers communities to mobilize around local issues; we want you to tell us what works!
