Community: Central Park

Date: January 27, 2012
Time: 1:00 PM
Location: Central Park

Following the success of last year's skating program, a second-annual learn to skate program is being offered for adult newcomers in Winnipeg

The learn to skate program will run from Friday, January 27 to end of March (weather permitting), held on Fridays 1 - 3 pm. Skates and equipment will be provided, and Jane Huck will be the instructor (along with 1 or 2 volunteers). The skating will be held at Central Park (we will put the skates on in KnoxChurch).

In addition to the weekly clinic, the skaters will be encouraged to participate in the Hockey Day in Canada events and activities at The Forks on Feb 11/12.

Please pass this information to newcomers in your area. It’s a fun and no-pressure way to learn to skate!

Special thanks to The Forks North Portage Partnership, Central Park Stewardship Committee, Scotia Bank, Central Neighbourhood Development Corp., KnoxUnited Churchand Ugly Duckling Productions for funding and support of this program.
